Ngwatung Akamangwa
Ngwatung’s PhD research examined the
environmental compliance practices of shipping companies and further explored
the impact upon seafarers’ health and well-being when fulfilling the
requirements. His current research interests include the labour impacts of
promoting a green economy, global value chains and trade corridor performance.
Ngwatung is currently working as a Consultant on
issues of interest to the maritime industry in Sub-Saharan Africa. His most
recent assignments have involved supporting some of the region’s maritime
projects of major international significance, including the EU Critical
Maritime Routes Programme and the Maritime Trade Information Sharing Centre in
the Gulf of Guinea. |
