Sponsored Chair/Fellowship

One relatively common way for industry to support research whilst not engaging in the funding of specific research projects is via the funding of a research Chair (Professor) or Fellowship. Typically such positions are named after the sponsoring organisation (e.g. 'The Goodfellow Chair' would usually be sponsored by the Goodfellow corporation) which assists with the promotion of a positive public image for the sponsor and allows for public recognition of the organisation's generous support.

We are currently exploring the possibility of hosting a sponsored research fellowship or Chair in SIRC. If you or your institution would be interested in sponsoring a Fellowship at SIRC, to be named after your organisation, please contact the Director, Prof Helen Sampson (sampsonh@cf.ac.uk) to discuss the possibilities and options.
