From 1 April 2013 two projects funded by the Lloyd’s Register Foundation will be extended to be additionally supported by The TK Foundation and Cardiff University.  These projects will consider:

From 2004-2012 The Lloyd's Register Educational Trust Research Unit (The LRETRU) conducted studies based on the human element in ship operation. The Unit was based within the Seafarers International Research Centre at Cardiff University. On 1 March 2013 The Lloyd’s Register Educational Trust was assimilated into the Lloyd’s Register Foundation.
